Banking internships give an opportunity to prospective employees to experience the professional environment of working at a bank while enabling banks to assess their capabilities. Some internships give exposure to students in variety of positions in banks such as business banking, lending, or investment sales. Many a time, the banking internships are unpaid with the exception of travel expenses. However some banks may pay a small stipend to the interns.
The Interns may work with the employees of a particular division of the bank and receive hands-on training of the day-to-day operations. Interns who work as financial analysts are usually undergraduates who specialize in finance, business, or related fields. The candidates must possess an undergraduate degree to be eligible for internship. Interns generally find the experience to be rewarding and interesting.
