Nowruz oil field

Nowruz oil field was an oil fields disaster in the Persian Gulf of Iran. The incident occurred in 1983 killing nearly 9 people who tried to close the oil well. The Iraqi military hit the oil wells in the Iran using Helicopters.
It is said that nearly 80 milling gallons of oil burned and spilled during the blow out. The well was attacked second time causing 733,000 barrels of oil to spill over the place. It took 2 years for the Iran to close the oil well.
