This venture, started by Deepal and Shivani in the year 2007, was a welcome change to Chennaites. At a point when night outs and parties were a boom in Chennai, they smartly opened this outlet to grab all the attention. “It was tough to shop in Chennai. One had to go to Bombay, Delhi or abroad to get great stuff. So we decided to start one by ourselves here”, says Deepal. Another interesting thing about the outlet is that all the clothes are personally picked by the owners. Though there are other outlets who offer party wear, Mee distincts itself with its reasonable and affordable rates.

Their range of collections include tees for casual wear and party wear, jeans, skirts, mini skirts, shorts, leggings, harem pants, dresses, shrugs, woolen shrugs, accessories and shoes!!!!! The tees cost anywhere between Rs.300 and Rs.600. They have clothes designed by Designer Nishani Manohar under the name Hip Curve. The designer wear costs between Rs.300 and Rs.1000. They also sell bags and clutches of all sizes. The bags range between Rs.650 and Rs.800. The clutches cost anywhere between Rs.300 and Rs.500. The shoes section includes casual wear, slip-ons, ballerina, cut shoes, stilettos in different colours.

This is not all! They also sell products of Nyassa which includes hand made soaps, body wash, creams and lip balm. “Everything is great here and since they have all what a woman needs in one store, it is ‘shopping made easy’”, says a customer. Within a period of one and a half year, Mee has become very popular in Chennai. They have also started another showroom in Kilpauk on New Avadi Road.

Though the outlet is small, the collections are great, trendy and worth buying. It is surely shopping made easy! Get yourself geared up for a great shopping!
