Bhumi’s Siragugal ‘10

Once again they made it! The power of youth is indispensable and invincible and they lived up to the thought. 915 children, 37 homes, 200 volunteers, one organization and the end product is- an event that broke all social barriers and saw the children spread their wings of joy, color and ability.

Bhumi’s Siragugal ‘10

Siragugal ’10, a brain child of not-for-profit youth volunteer organization Bhumi, is an inter-orphanage art, literary and science fest that had been structured to accommodate every child of varying age groups.

Bhumi brought about the second edition of Siragugal this year at Rajaji Bhavan’s Vidyashram, Kilpauk with much more fun and frolic. The event was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Anna University Dr. Mannar Jawahar, along side actress Anuya and Kalaka povadhu yaaru fame Siva Karthikeyan. The children gave a warm welcome to the guests. The children explored their abilities at pot painting, clay modeling, face painting, elocution, quiz, science projects, singing, dancing, etc.

Siragugal’s all day long events ended with a surge of spirit with a few celebrities cheering up the children. Actor Sibiraj, Tamizh padam fame RJ/actor Shiva and Singer Maya especially brought the crowd into elation with her live performance.

Happiness is not materialistic. It is to bring happiness in someone. Bhumi did that. To be a part of Bhumi, visit www.bhumichennai.org.
