Rally for a cause!

The Morning of October 21. Sunday, Lanson Toyota showroom at Koyembedu wore a festive look as the `The Lanson Toyota fun Car Rally` got flagged off. This was the Eighth edition of the fun rally conducted by the Madras Sterling Round Table in partnership with The Madras Motor Sports Club. The rally is a genuine fight against “illiteracy”, in the endeavor to educate the millions of underprivileged children in India and to provide them with basic necessities.  

The rally was based on the usual Time Speed and Distance format, participants completed the distance of around 80 kms in roughly 3 hrs. The rally was flagged off by Formula 3 Car Racing Champion Ashwin Sundar, with lots of cheers from the audience cars of all makes, shapes and sizes went on a trail from the start point. The rally started off from the Lanson Toyota show room at Koyambedu and concluded at the Pallikarani showroom.

 The event saw around 50 participants who enjoyed the ride in Chennai’s jam packed road, the teams were split up into six categories viz. Novice, All ladies, Experts, Toyota owners, Etios/Liva owners ,  round tablers and general category.  The participants were even more excited with the route book that added to the experience, the book gave them clues to identify the landmarks that subsequently gave them the route.
