Techzavest '09, the premier annual national level technical symposium of the Department of Information Technology of KCG College Of Technology, Chennai is all set to be held on the 3rd of October 2009.

Hundreds of students from top engineering colleges across the country are expected to take part in the day long technical extravaganza.

Prizes worth Rs 1 Lakh are at stake for the winners of the various events that are to be held as part of the symposium including Paper Presentation and Debugging for the technically inclined, Web Designing and Short Film Making for the creative types and General Quiz, for those who want to challenge their intellect to the limit.

Robotics, a popular event among the technical community, is to be conducted at Techzavest '09 and this time, Robotics will involve competing robots fighting it out to decide the eventual champion.

Apart from this other events such as Gaming, Ad Zap and Innovations will test the creative and innovative skills of the contestants. Gaming includes Counter Strike and Need For Speed: Most Wanted and will witness the clash of the best gamers from across the city.
