02 Health Studio, leading Health and Fitness center has launched a new and unique weight loss program, ‘Aqua Aerobics‘. A first in Chennai, the program is being conducted by renowned Trainer Jeffry Vardon and his team.
Aqua aerobics, or water aerobics, typically is comprised of aerobic exercises performed in shallow water, such as a swimming pool. Also known as ‘Aquacize’, it typically uses water as resistance for exercises that normally are done on land, such as jogging or jumping jacks. Aqua aerobics can have the same benefits as other types of exercise, but it offers a lower risk of injuries to the muscles and joints, due to the buoyancy of the water.
Exercises are performed in a pool using the support and resistance of the water to burn fat, strengthen bones, and increase cardiovascular health and endurance and the best part is it is not mandatory to know swimming.
